2-Week MITI Housing Information

The 2-Week Medical Interpreter Training Institute is eager to make reasonable accommodations for all Institute participants with special needs. All students with disabilities are asked to notify Institute staff prior to arrival in Tucson.

For non-Tucson residents, we can arrange housing at a nearby hotel at a discounted price. This year students may stay at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites, the same location that the Institute will be held, at the rates of $44.96/night for a single room, or $22.48/night for a double (all taxes and fees included). Students are welcome to make their own housing accommodations elsewhere as well.

If you wish to room with someone at the hotel, you are allowed to do so. We will take the responsibility of finding a roommate or roommates for you, unless you have decided on another student already. Institute staff is happy to assign roommates for individual students who wish to share a room at the hotel; however, though students may request double occupancy for the hotel and therefore the double occupancy rate, such occupancy may not be available. Double occupancy availability is fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We suggest you notify us of your preference as soon as possible. Further, we accept no responsibility for roommate compatibility. These concerns will need to be resolved on your own.
